Rutledge Boro Delaware County Pennsylvania Real Estate Rutledge Boro is a small place with in Delaware County Pa. It has wonder homes with in this small boro, streets are line with lots of shade trees and the larger homes take you back to a place that is peaceful and beautiful. I live right on the border of Rutledge, in fact if you hop the fence in my back yard you are in Rutledge Boro. The community has many things i love about it people are friendly and i notice alot of people who take walks in the area always seem to walk the streets of Rutledge. Welcome to Rutledge PA in Delaware County Pennsylvania. Rutledge is one of the smallest boroughs in Delaware County containing less than 275 residential properties per the tax records and about 860 residents. Occupying about 1 square mile, it was founded in 1885 and incorporated as a Borough in 1885.  The earliest reference to its name was from the Rutledge Mutual Land Improvement Association but the origin of the name is still in question.  It was either named after an early sweetheart of Abraham Lincoln or the novel Rutledge by Miriam Coles Harris.
