National Historic Reserve in Vancouver, WA One of the most beautiful and historic spots in Vancouver has to be our Fort Vancouver and the Historic National Reserve. It has so much History and Culture behind it and has an education for us too. History Buffs-Fort Vancouver National Site is the Best!FORT VANCOUVER, CLARK COUNTY, WAIf you've never been to the 366-acre Fort located hear Highway 14 and downtown Vancouver...you're missing a ton of fun and history. They have a great calendar of a variety of things that are educational and really amazing. One of our family's favorite events is the Candle Light tour of the Fort and all the buildings that made the area hum. Fort Vancouver 4th of July Fireworks Display For 46 years Clark County has celebrated 4th of July at Fort Vancouver National Site. It had been canceled for the 2009 event because of limited funding. It was a sad 2009 4th of July without the dynamic fireworks display. This year will include a small nominal fee to help offset the costs of such a huge community event. This huge event is a favorite and it's a "picnic in the park" for thousands and thousands of people.
