We used the last couple of weeks to rest, rejuvinate and plan for the new year. All kinds of exciting ideas & dreams are being worked out on our end. We've also used the time to do a little assessment. We (the nation) had a great 2015—the best year for housing since 2007. An interesting fact, is that the economists over at Realtor.com® project an even better year in 2016.

Welcome to 2016! Homes and people are starting to move! This past week we saw 7 homes sell in Granada Hills... the prices ranged from $358,000 - $849,000, size from 1254sf-3842sf, and ages 1953-1979. Biggest question this month? How many days on the market? The shortest time on market was 1 day. Yes, I said 1. The home that sold in a day, was priced at only $358,000. In Granada Hills this past weeek, we saw 15 homes sold. They were priced from $440,000 - $1,937,500 - with an avergae price of $646,827.... The size ranged from 1024sf -7530sf... These homes were built between 1928 and 2005. Lastly, the days on the market ranged from 8-174, with the average time on market being 75 days.

I am often asked why there is so much paperwork mandated by the bank for a mortgage loan application when buying a home today. It seems that the bank needs to know everything about us and requires three separate sources to validate each and every entry on the application form. I was at Ralphs today doing a well-overdue grocery run. I fancied something “pumpkin,” so I bought these Limited Edition chips called “Harvest Pumpkin" Tortilla Chips with cinnamon and nutmeg. They are really good! Just getting into the fall season. I took out time to decorate our house for Halloween. With Dane and Annette gone (and Eric sleeping away his weekend), I was able to record more videos for the website, so keep your eyes out as I finish editing and posting!
