blogging tips: Do Not Be Shy...Share Your Blogging Site Secrets! - 06/17/16 09:42 AM
Where Are You Blogging?
We are a progressive bunch here in the Rain, in the sense most of us are blogging to generate more business or at the very least more brand exposure. Some are happy with that level of exposure while others push boundaries looking for more ways to get found and called. We are good at that in my estimation, especially those that blog consistently.
What we do not always do so well is share about other places we may be blogging to increase follower-ship, leads, or to just spark more interest. Maybe it is the nature of being a small … (81 comments)

Curate Your Content and get Found by More Consumers

This is typically the time of year where we hear that sales are slowing down and we should start planning for the next year. Hogwash! Even if it is true and sales are slowing down in certain areas, that does not mean our share of the market volume has to slow down. In fact, this is the perfect time of year to ramp up our online marketing to finish this year strong and start next year on a high note.
If you want more real estate consumers to find your content online what are … (35 comments)

Success or Failure?
What Category Does Your 2015 Efforts Fall Into?
Each of us has a different view of the type of business year 2015 has been thus far. There are still 7 weeks left in the year, and potentially a lot of deals still to be made, but by now you should have a good idea if this year has been great, good, average, mediciore, or a complete bust due to your online efforts.
At a minimum most of us blog regularly. On the far end of the spectrum a small percentage do a lot of online things to bring new biz. … (37 comments)

blogging tips: Create Buzz by Sharing Online Content - 11/08/15 12:06 AM
I am a firm advocate of sharing my online content wherever I can. The more folks that see my articles the more opportunities there are for real estate consumers to come visit my WP site. Some of those visitors may even become future clients.
That principle works the same for industry professionals. If I share quality information some of them may share it to their networks, some will visit my site, and perhaps become either/both collaboration or referral partners.
I have shared here in the Rain about a fantastic resource a couple of times over the last 2 years that can really help … (78 comments)

Taking Your Blogging & Online Reach to the Next Level

Every once in awhile I stumble across articles that I bookmark, go back and check out in detail, and implement either in part or in whole.
Sometimes those efforts are fruitful in the way of new leads and clients and occasionally they fall short. However, in every instance, I learn something new that can help my biz.
This week I thought I would share a few articles that may provide some inspiration to help take your online efforts to the next level.
If you are not generating the number of clients you would … (36 comments)

Let's face it, if we are blogging for business we are looking for an online edge to give us the upper hand on our local competition. Perhaps it is through blogging about a particular niche, generating the most interest via social media, or by saturating our markets with much more information than anyone else in your market.
Whatever methodology you use, gaining an advantage can make all the difference, especially in a competitive marketplace. Recently, I came across a few articles I thought were worth sharing because they are chock full of fantastic tips to help take our online presence to the … (63 comments)

How Do I Get My Blog Content Seen by the Masses?
Are you a new blogger? Someone who has only been at this a short time? Perhaps you are a gray beard blogger who remembers way-back-when. Whatever stage you fall in, the goal for many is to be found by real estate consumers. It is for me and I suspect it is for many of you who blog regularily on this and other platforms.
The key question becomes "HOW do I get found?". We all know about being consistent, using good SEO practices, creating a niche, and social sharing our articles to reach … (50 comments)

blogging tips: I Have Secretly Been Watching You! - 12/09/14 10:11 AM
It is true, I have been. For the past 4+ years here in the Rain I have been watching you, many of you. Not in a stalker kind of way, OK maybe perhaps a little like that, but I am harmless. Honest!
You see, when I arrived here in the Rain I had no idea how to blog, what to blog about, how to get my content in front of real estate consumers, or even what the heck SEO was. Watching you was my go-to move and it often still is!
I saw your excellent market reports and thought I might … (99 comments)
