Birmingham loves Do Dah Day! This annual event is a favorite of many locals and their pets and will be held Saturday, May 21st in Caldwell Park and Rhodes Park off Highland Avenue on Birmingham's Southside beginning at 11:05 AM.

pets: Help For Finding Missing Pets!!!

This past Sunday some friends of mine discovered that two of their dogs were missing. I wrote a post about it to try to help their efforts in getting the word out in our community.
They have not found the dogs yet, but they received a phone call from a lady who had seen one of their flyers. She told them about a website which helps notify neighbors and had actually helped her locate her lost dog.

I have been feeding a family of cats in my garage for some time now. The mama kitty had kittens and I had her spayed so THAT won't happen again. Three of the kittens still make our garage their primary dining and sleeping residence, and we have names for all of them. Actually they haven't been kittens for a while and we have had them spayed/neutured also. We thought we had lost Tiger.....he was missing for weeks. Suprisingly, he turned up on Memorial Day weekend. It's Friday afternoon and I'm having a hard time coming up with blogging ideas. I'm new to this and creativity doesn't come easy to me anyway. My assistant has been trying to help, as he so often does, by sitting on my papers and rubbing his chin on my laptop.
