2007: Blogging Seminar...A Glimpse into the Future!

Today, the Blogging & Technology Seminar was held at the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors auditorium. A variety of different inter-related professions were represented in the 55 individuals who were present. The seminar focused on understanding the implications of the latest technologies and the different platforms which were available. Lola Audu started the program by comparing the current challenge in real estate to the re-tooling which is occurring in the state of Michigan as the manufacturing sector is struggling to respond to a changing worldwide market place. The Emergence of the "Wisdom Practitioner"... 5. In 2007, it won't simply be about whom you know but how you integrate that with what you know and why that is relevant. As real estate consumers become incredibly savvy at finding out information, there will be an urgent need to making sense of this torrent of information. Snapshots for the Year Ahead...Predictions for 2007 Well, it's January and this is the time to make predictions. Everyone is jumping into the foray and so I thought I'd add my thoughts. Maybe, it's just the deep freeze we're experiencing in Michigan right now, I don't know, but anyways I got to thinking about just what I'd predict to happen in 2007.... Yes, this was an actual title for a sermon that I heard today. A little surprising given the assumption is that most people who are listening to sermons have presumably submitted to a philosophy which promises the follower that adherence to the principles espoused guarantees "eternal life". However, in a world that is becoming increasingly fundamental with about the same rigor as it is becoming dangerously fanatical it is increasingly clear that "getting a life" or even losing it to hopefully gain it (for instance as is practiced by suicide bombers )is a real concern for many people.
