erosion: Army Corps to Dredge St. Augustine Inlet and Intracoastal - 11/03/09 07:15 AM
The Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) is planning to dredge the St. Augustine Inlet and the Intracoastal Waterway. There will be a public meeting on November 17, 2009 starting at 3 p.m. at the St. Augustine Beach City Hall, 2100 A1A S., St. Augustine Beach, FL at the St. Augustine Port, Waterway & Beach District meeting.
Articles have been written in local publications about the dredging of the inlet to renourish St. Augustine Beach at the possible detriment to the properties north of the St. Augustine inlet in Vilano Beach, North Beach, and South Ponte Vedra Beach.

erosion: Beach Renourishment - St. Johns County - 11/26/07 05:50 AM
Congress Mica held a Beach Renourishment roundtable at the GTMNERR on Monday, November 19, 2007 that I attended.
He said the feasibility study would be completed in 2010.
Then an appropriations bill will have to be passed by Congress.
Not until the bill is past can the Army Corps of Engineers being work on the design and specs to fix the beach.
After the design work then the actual renourishment can begin. So I am guessing 2013 at the earliest unless some severe action is taken to expedite the process.
