short sales: Bear Cub Makes Mess in Grocery Store - 10/19/11 04:59 AM

Saw this on the news last night. In Alaska, a bear cub was found sitting up on the vegetables in the Produce Section and upsetting the customers. The little guy had to be physically removed. They said this happens quite often in Alaska. Can you imagine having to make sure there are no bears in the store when you are shopping? Frankly, I am sure this is really a rare event or it would not have been all over the national news. All I have to say is, I have been to Alaska 3 times and traveled all over the … (14 comments)

I hear the train a comin' and It's rollin' 'round the bend………

This is the Union Pacific Train that runs through the San Timoteo Canyon in South Redlands. Many of the locomotives have a huge American flag on them which makes it very distintive.

The first American railroads started in the 1830's from the Atlantic ports of Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Wilmington, Charleston, and Savannah. The railroad single-handedly had the greatest impact on the American transportation system. Trains helped to develop and connect the United States by carry shipments from the East Coast to the rest of the … (10 comments)

Loma Linda: Will the 116 Year Old Post Office in Bryn Mawr Be Shut Down?
Will the 116 year old Bryn Mawr Post Office be closed by the end of the year? Several Months ago, the new Loma Linda Post Office was opened just down the street from the old Bryn Mawr Post Office. So with all the cutbacks of the USPS, will the Bryn Mawr location close before the end of the year?

In July 2011, the USPS announced that they are planning to close approximately 3700 postal offices. Although the list not final yet, possible Inland Empire closures … (8 comments)

short sales: Anderson Cooper's Giggle Meltdown on TV......Funny! - 08/19/11 04:01 PM
Longtime CNN anchor Anderson Cooper has kept his trademark cool through violent Middle East protests. But all it took to make him lose his composure on camera this week was a little potty humor! On his Wednesday show — which has now become popular on YouTube — Cooper dedicated his nightly “Ridiculist” segment to legendary French actor and restaurateur Gerard Depardieu, who this week was accused of urinating on the floor of a plane, delaying its takeoff. Cooper, who was already smiling at the beginning of the segment, couldn’t keep it together through puns such as, “Depardieu created his own little … (12 comments)

short sales: C.A.R. Sponsors Bill That Would Prevent Condominium/Townhome Buyers from Being Gouged - 08/17/11 05:22 AM

The CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) is sponsoring AB 771, a bill that prevents home buyers in a common interest development (CID), such as a condominium or townhome, from being charged excess document fees.
C.A.R. sponsors bill that would prevent condominium/townhome buyers from being gouged. My Board of Realtors just emailed this info to us. California Realtors are tired of the HOA’s making buyers paying ridiculous fees and making us jump through hoops to get our escrows closed. As we know, the HOA/CCR documents are in a computer and take a couple of minutes to generate an email to escrow. … (6 comments)

short sales: Women & Retirement: Read This Today and Start Saving - 08/15/11 03:24 AM

Women are an economic force. But when it comes to saving for retirement, they face challenges that can put them at risk of outliving their assets. Moderator Charles Gibson, formerly of ACB Good Morning, explores possible solutions with an expert panel.
Strategies to Help Women Close the Retirement Savings Gap.

Women are an economic force. They hold half of all jobs—and the majority of Professional and Managerial positions—in the U.S. They fill more than half the seats in college classrooms and assume the role of breadwinner (or co-breadwinner) in 60percent of American families. Finding a good Bike Shop is like Hiring a Realtor!
In June, my daughter was preparing her move to Philadelphia and has two very nice bikes. So we took them to Redlands Cyclery USA and had them partially unassembled and boxed for the move. $100 for the two seemed reasonable as the bikes need to be protected going across country. She had always used Redlands Cyclery USA as they have a wonderful reputation, service dept is top notch, and they are nearby.

Arriving in Philadelphia, the dilemma begins. Looking on line there are “48 bike stores” so where do we … (5 comments)

Would You Put This Picture in MLS?
A few weeks ago I was searching the MLS and came across a house that was a perfect for one of my buyers. When I opened up the pictures to view the features I found 5 pictures and this one surprised me beyond belief. The other 4 photos were not quite as bad but pretty much the same.

Of course, I did not take my buyer to see this house as this photo was enough to say NO WAY; messy, dirty, smelly, maybe infested, no repairs or upgrades and “No Pride of Ownership” … (23 comments)

GOOD NEWS-Road to Recovery; Sales & Warm Weather  Helping July Sales Nationwide!

Retailers are expecting to report higher sales for July, a discount-driven month that may do little to lift their margins. The sales statistics nationwide are tied to the Real Estate Recovery also. When the economy improves, it is a trend from Real Estate, Retailer Recovery, and  Lower Unemployment  trends which should help keep more companies and homeowners out of Bankruptcy Court.
July sales figures will give investors an early read on demand in the consumer-driven U.S. economy at the start of the back-to-school season, the second-biggest selling period of … (7 comments)
