Do you have little ones and happen to live in the Gold Canyon Arizona area? if so you may want to check out the 2nd annual Trike-a-Thon for St Jude Children's Hospital that will take place Saturday April 19th, 2008 at 10:00 am. The event will take place at Entrada Del Oro Park which is in the Entrada Del Oro community just on the East side of Gold Canyon at the foot of the Superstition Mountain. Gold Canyon Business Association enjoyed an evening of business networking and refreshments at the lovely location of Tom and Tess McDonald's home. The McDonalds are owners of local Gold Canyon business, Smiling Dog Landscaping. Their lovely home is located at the foot of the Superstition Mountains and the grounds are home of beautiful gardens, flora and fauna. Gold Canyon Arizona is a beautiful community at the foothills of the Superstition Mountain. Here the community is rallying about to support Afghanistan youth. Gold Canyon's own Major Bryan Martyn who is stationed in Afghanistan recently visited two schools in Kabul. The Boys' School has 10,000 students and 300 teachers. The Girls' School has 7,300 students and 240 teachers. These are children aged 7-15 years of age. These children desperately need school supplies such as pens, pencils, crayons, rulers, math work books, backpacks, maps, globes, computers, clothing (particularly coats, gloves, scarves and shoes for cold weather).
