The Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival is back for 2012!  Start off right with the Whole Hog Friday Night Pig Pickin’ on August 3rd from 6pm to 10 pm.  Admission gets you a sampling cup to try a vast selection of different beers and bourbons, as well as, BBQ from local vendors.  Saturday the festival continues on from noon until 6 pm.  Get your tickets soon before they are all gone!

Resident Conductor and Summerfest artistic director William Henry Curry takes us back into the time of Davy Jones, plundering, and the life of a pirate.  The North Carolina Symphony presents Pirates! on July 9th at 7:30pm.  Pieces include selections from Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean, the flying Dutchman, Pirates of Penzance, and NC singers/songwriter Laurelyn Dossett's musical Bloody Blackbeard.  Get a taste of all the pillage and plundering going around on the seven seas.
