In Florida, we have seen some of the most significant increases to median list prices over the last year. The Sarasota real estate market currently ranks number ten on Realtor.com's national list of 146 markets, with a median list price of $246,000, and a year-over-year increase of 14.47%.
This Realtor.com report follows and reinforces other good news for Sarasota's real estate market. Sales of mansions (homes of 10,000+ square feet) are seeing a modest recovery in Southwest Florida. While luxury real estate isn't selling like it sold during the boom, Southwest Florida luxury home sales were up slightly in December and January, compared to the same two months a year earlier.
