Glen Burnie is located south of Baltimore City in Anne Arundel County and offers many affordable housing opportunities for those relocating to Ft. Meade and Annapolis. Glen Burnie is located north on 97 from rt 50 or north on Rt. 2 from Annapolis Naval Academy and east along 32 and north on 97 from Ft. Meade. It is a relatively easy commute from either base and only a couple short miles from the Curtis Bay Coast Guard Station too, as well as being commutable to DC whether you ride the MARC from Odenton or drive.

My oldest son is an alumni of Lindale Middle School so I always keep an eye out for items in the news from his old alma mater. Notification of this event appeared in the Glen Burnie Patch today so I thought I'd give it some more exposure.

When I was a little girl my Dad had a truck just like this one, only his was dark green.
I used to wait at the end of the driveway for my Dad to come home from work. He'd stop and pick me up so I could sit on his lap and drive the truck to the garage.
My Dad has been gone for a few years but the memories are still pretty vivid.

I love to barbecue. And, now that the summer season is upon us, I would much rather cook out in my back yard than cook in my house.
Today I made barbecue ribs. And, they were awesome (if I do say so myself).
Here's my recipe for a dry rib rub. This is a combination of several recipes and me adding things that my family likes.
June's BBQ Rib Rub
6 tbsp kosher salt
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup paprika

The days are certainly getting cooler and it hardly seems like the summer is over. However, it is the middle of October and Christmas is just around the corner.
