As I look back on my life I notice that I have always put a lot of pressure on myself to make things happen. Whether in sales, finances, relationships, fitness I had always felt it was up to me to MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. Perhaps you know this feeling. Basically I would go out each day trying to hit the HOMERUN. The problem with trying to MAKE IT HAPPEN each day is that you can STRIKE OUT a lot. My brother is the DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS for the Northwoods League, a summer collegiate baseball league played like the minor leagues. I noticed he has been doing a great job blogging so I wanted to post a link to his blog on this website. Here is the link. This league has some great baseball. More and more their are players being called up to the big leagues who once played their first "minor league" like games in the Northwoods League. My brother works for the Northwoods League. Its a summer collegiate baseball league played like a regular minor league baseball. I used to work in the league in 1999 and 2000. In 1999 I was the play by play broadcaster and public address announcer for the Brainerd Mighty Gulls and in 2000 I was the Asst. General Manager for the team. At that time there were 8 teams in the league. Now there are 14 teams. There are teams in Minnesota, Iowa, Canada, Wisconsin and Michigan. The league may expand to more cities in the future.
