This year, Fashion Island's annual tree lighting ceremony will take place on November 14 and 15, 2014 at 6:00 pm.
In addition to having the opportunity to watch this beautiful tree light up, there will be sing alongs. And, Mickey will bring his friends as well as a magical, Disney-type snowfall to accompany the lighting.
If you miss the initial tree lighting ceremony at Fashion Island, you can still stop by to see the slightly less festive though still beautiful lighting of the tree each evening at 5pm until January 4, 2015. … (3 comments)
I love Christmas though I'm not sure about having it all start before Thanksgiving. Still, South Coast Plaza does a wonderful job of making it so beautiful with lights and decorations throughout the mall. Santa will be at Goat Hill Junction on December 15th and 16th, 2012 between 10:30am and 2:30pm.
There will be unlimited, free train rides and a donation of $5 for a picture of Santa. You may also use your own camera for a donation. Don't forget to ask them to take a picture if you would like to be in the picture with the rest of your party. Sometimes I realize how lucky I am to live where I do, and others I simply forget as this has been home for most of my life. Today is Christmas, and I took a ride to the beach in 70+ degree weather. Not only was the weather great; the scenery is beautiful, and I wanted to share a little of what my family and I enjoy each day.

Disneyland is one of my favorite places, and Christmas is my favorite time of year. So, when you combine the two, you come up with my personal Fantasy Land. Is this Christmas holiday season any different to you than any other? This year, there are constant reports that there is concern that consumer spending will be down during the holidays. Why is it that this seems to be more important than other aspects of Christmas? I know my five year old wants new toys, a remote controlled Tigger he saw on tv, Star Wars legos, but does he really need any of it?
