The Hood River Bridge will have single lane closures weekdays, beginning October 21, 2019, through November 1, 2019. The single-lane closures will begin at 9am and last until 3pm each weekday. Biannual bridge deck maintenance work being performed is the cause of the single lane closures. The work is weather dependent, so the single lane closures may need to be extended if weather delays the maintenance work. Plan accordingly and expect delays with traffic backups. The Port of Hood River announced the October 2017 lane closure schedule has been significantly changed due to vandalism of the control room and north tower. October 9th and 10th will see full closures, multiple times during the day and throughout the night. The closures could result in delays of up to an hour due to operational and mechanical safety testing of the bridge lift span.
