I've never been a big fan of Black Friday shopping. Yes, I have tried it a time or two, but the crowds and WAY too early start times just don't seem worth it to me. But the other reason I'm not a fan, is that I would MUCH rather shop local!
And one of the best ways I know to shop local is to head to the local holiday bazaars. I find unique items, creative items, handmade items. And can feel good about helping support other local entrepreneurs!

I have to admit that I am in that group of people who just do NOT get the allure of Black Friday shopping - the whole getting up before daylight to join a herd of people trying to save a buck....I'm not a big fan of giving up sleep unless it's for something really worth while, and I don't love crowds either. Plus in looking over the very, very fat stack of advertisements in yesterday's paper, I realized there wasn't anything in there that I can't live without.
