When is the best time to install new Flooring in Westchester NY? The answer to this one is simple...Right before you move in! The time after your closing but before your move-in is by far the best time to update the flooring in your new home. It is faster, easier, less messy and less expensive. No brainer. Oh, and by the way, I think there is some statistic that shows that 70% of new homeowners need to change some sort of flooring. Patterned Carpets - Not your grandmother's carpet. Carpets have really come a long way. By far, the fastest growing segment is the patterned carpets (or tone-on-tone carpets - a combo of looped and cut). I love these carpets because they create visual intrigue without adding lots of color. This enables you to still add color on the walls, window treatments and pillows. Here are a few examples. Please note they do come in lighter colors, but these don't photograph well.
