Happy New Year Denver! There is still something about New year's Eve that I have thought ever since I was young, the flipping of the calendar page so to speak is actually quite eventful to me. The start of something new & fresh has always been a bit inspirational to me. Corny? Maybe. But true. Wrapping up one year and putting it in perspective, evaluating goals in life met, and others to still strive for - I like it. The deadline to vote this November is this Monday, October 6th. If you are planning on registering by mail, your registration must be postmarked by 5:00 pm on 10/6/08. Perhaps you have recently relocated to Denver and this has been on your list to do - you need to do it now. Many are taking advantage of registering for the mail-in ballots this year, as many areas within the state will have an extremely long ballott. Regardless of who or what you vote for: VOTE. Cindy Jones lives in Northern Virginia, and has told her readers about one of her favorite Hamburger hangouts - Five Guys. Denver Races For The Cure and So Do I Tomorrow is a big day for my family. Sunday, October 5th is the Denver Komen Race for The Cure. My wife has now participated in the Race for ten years here in Denver and while the kids and I have been supporters and even team members that Sleep In For The Cure, this year is the first year that we will all be active participants. Littleton Craft Fair Next Saturday 10/4 If you have lived in Littleton for any length of time, you for sure know how big the Littleton Friends of the Library and Museum Craft Fair is, even if you haven't been. Living in Highlands Ranch: HRCA Taking Memberships I was a little surprised to read an article in the Highlands Ranch Herald this week that the HRCA is now taking memberships from those outside of the Highlands Ranch HOA boundaries for membership. I have been driving some Denver area home buyers around lately that were curious about the construction going on at the old Southglenn Mall. They were relocating from out of state and their current area as they put it had "ancient shopping centers". The new development is called Streets of Southglenn and although much of the construction is still underway, some of the shops are now opened. My buyers in particular were delighted there would be such a nice place to shop & dine nearby.

Denver Living - Fall Is In The Air Its hard to know it with today's temperatures reaching into the mid 80's here in the Denver area, but fall is just around the corner. Since I have become a dog owner in May, I tend to notice more dog related things lately. And here's another. They are building a new Wag N' Wash Healthy Pet Center in Highlands Ranch - a place where I can bathe my dog without stinking up the tub. Not bad!
