The Department of Transportation and Woodstock officials have now said that the Ridgewalk Parkway exit off of Interstate 575 may open as early as next week. The contractor, C. W. Matthews is ahead of schedule and, weather permitting, will have the paving and striping done for full use by mid November. The exit was originally scheduled to open in late December. East Cherokee County residents will have a more direct route now rather than having to use the Sixes Road or Towne Lake Parkway exits.

The new Interstate 575 exit for Ridgewalk Parkway, which is located between the Towne Lake Parkway and Sixes Road exits, is making solid progress towards completion. It is scheduled to be completed in December, and will be a main artery for the new Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta outlet mall. The Ridgewalk Parkway exit will provide the neighborhood of Brookshire easy highway access and all the residents of the Ridgewalk area that previously had to go to Towne Lake Parkway or Sixes Road for access to the Interstate.

Well, it doesn't really look like much yet, but ground has been broken on the new Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta outlet mall located in Woodstock, GA. The new outlet mall will initially have approximately 370,000 square feet and bring in an estimated 2000 jobs.
 
 
The property is being developed by Horizon Group Properties and includes some of the most popular outlet stores. Stores that are already on board include Brooks Brothers, Nike, Puma, Cole Haan, Carters, Converse, Le Creuset, Talbots, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, Under Armour and Vans.

The lower priced end of the market is selling fairly well and higher priced properties that are priced appropriately. Low prices and low interest rates are making it very appealing to buy.
