How People Feel
I have learned that people will forget what you said.
People will forget what you did.
But, people will never forget how you made them feel.
* Always, always always acknowledge someone's negative feelings right away, if they have them. This allows the person to feel heard and understood and creates an arena for better understanding. When our negative emotions are not addressed they can fester, grow more dramatic with bad behavior or disrupt the balance of our very cells. Cancer has been linked to deep grief and unresolved pain.
