Great websites for homebuyers
An agent friend sent me a link to this website today:  www.crimemapping.com .  This is a great tool to research your area for crimes, both big and small.   It is also a great tool for prospective homebuyers to research neighborhoods that they may not be familiar with for the types of crime that occur there, if any.  
I also suggest that homebuyers look at the California State Megan's Law site at http://www.meganslaw.ca.gov/ to research the area for registered sex offenders.
Finally, the Great Schools site is an incredible resource with data on schools for every state.   It has test scores, school locations, cultural demographics, etc.
