That's an interesting thingy you have there!?!
Here is something that I found in one of the kitchen drawers when we purchased our home. The previous owner had been in the home since it was built and she now is going to an assisted living facility. You can see from the picture below that it is clearly labeled as a "Microwave Leakage Monitor". Have any of you ever seen something like this? My guess is that this is something that was sold to people around the same time as radiation detection devices. "just in case it ever happened you would know"???
 Probably the same salesperson.
 
 

                        
Hmmm I'm not sure if the one I have is defective but the needle never moves. Maybe it never did.
 
So there Rainers...... have you seen one of these thingys? I would love to know if these are legit (most likely not) and if you have one of these in one of your drawers.
