It May Be a Sign that the Economy is Trying to Come Back to Life - Google Server Farm to Return to Pryor Oklahoma.
Way back in the Spring of 2007, there was some exciting news in the state of Oklahoma.  Google was considering building a server farm that would bring about 100 jobs into the state.  It would be built in the Pryor area.  Based on a data center that Google was going to build in Lenoir, N.C., which was estimated to have a $600 million economic impact and create 210 new jobs, it was a pretty exciting prospect.

However, when the economy crashed, Google decided to pull the plug (pardon the pun) on the Server Farm in Pryor, Oklahoma.  That was bad news as Gatoraide was pulling out at about the same time.
Recently, the Oklahoma Department of Commerce announced that Google will resume work on the Server farm and that they were seeking to hire 80 employees immediately.  Applicants should have experience in IT management, Linux, hardware as well as electrical and mechanical backgrounds.
