King, Snohomish and Pierce county real estate sales up from a year ago - 2010 Home Sales Report. December's volume of pending sales around Western Washington nearly matched the total for the same month a year ago, which was the best December month since 2006.
In December 2010 a total of 3,161 single family homes and condos sold in King, Snohomish and Pierce County combined - Western Washington.  There's a 5.3 month supply of homes in King County, 4.9 months in Snohomish County and 4.9 months in Pierce County.
The median price for King County was $342,400 compared to Snohomish County of $245,700, and Pierce County came in at $215,450 as the most economical of the three counties. Sales were just about even overall for the tri-county area by 821 compared to 2009 (down 1.5%), yet up 15.7% from 2008, when the entire financial crisis started due to the First Time Buyers Tax Credit.
