Where & how to get started using QR Codes

 
Enjoyed the discussions around our post yesterday about Marketing with QR codes.  It sparked quite a few questions, emails and calls.  So I thought I’d try and answer a few of them this morning...Let’s start at the beginning....  if you have a smartphone you’ll need to download a QR code reader.  Just Google ‘QR readers’ and you’ll find lots to look into but here’s a few for the more popular phones...  they are easy to use once you have them on your phone - you just hold your phone over the funny looking box and voila - the info will show up on you phone...  Where to get scanners for YOUR phone?  
iPhone QR Scanner (free)  download from the iTunes Store Android Barcode Scanner (free) head to the ‘Market’ app on your phone.  Do a search on ‘barcode scanner’ - install Nokia - Nokia Barcode Scanner (free) some phones come with the scanner installed if not head to their website Blackberry  - Blackberry Messenger (free) if you don’t already have the BBM you can download from their website Once you have your phone set up the next step is to consider where and what you are going to ... more
