Healing & Camaraderie After The Storm - The mess is the hardest part, & depending the level, sometimes there is devastation....  There are the times that,  somehow, the"process" can be, in a twisted way, therapeutic.  
I found myself being way active in all the storms, Andrew & beyond, which felt great physically!!  It is not very "girlie", but somehow I had this strange sense of ahhh or calm?  Seeing things back to order again was gratifying I think as well.
The icing on the cake, I believe, was being able to visit with my neighbors more & just a camaraderie!!... 
I don't know if you have Camaraderie where you are, with your neighbors, but there were rotating generators, & rotating bar-b-ques every day in my neighborhood(s)...??  
All of the photos are amazing at what took place that I see on the news & weather channel for just a Cat 1 & there were still quite a few people that didn't survive.  I just saw Jill Sackler's photos..., bless her heart. 
The clean up is the most difficult, but somehow the community usually comes together & out rip the chain saws (& hopefully no one gets hurt with that & then with all the sweat equity ~ ... more
