The Prosser Public Library (and the Wintonbury Branch) in Bloomfield CT just purchased Universal Class which offers over 500 online classes on a variety of subjects.  With a Bloomfield public library card, which is free to any town resident, you can register for any Universal Class and complete it for free either at the library or from the comfort of your own home on your computer.
 
 
Many classes are available within such diverse areas as:
Accounting and Bookkeeping Alternative Medicine Arts and Photography Computers and Technology New Age and Alternative Beliefs Parenting and Family Web Development Health and Medicine History Writing ...and so much more For a complete list, check out Universal Class.  You can enroll in up to five classes at a time and have up to six months to complete each class.  These are non-credit courses, but some are eligible for continuing education credits.
