Strategies for Communicating with those Hard of HearingIn Real Estate, Society and Daily Life, being able to communicate and interact  with others is often an presumed ability by everybody that we are connecting with.However, often either due to the affects of aging, physical limitations, and or health issues, the person that you are communicating with is really not hearing what you are trying to say.Today Janet Holland reminded us of 10 excellent strategies and tips to best communicate with those hard of hearing.  Janet Holland is a Certified Audiologist, associated with the Island Deaf & Hard of Hearing Centre (IDHHC) www.idhhc.ca., and shared her strategies and knowledge as a set of simple tools to enhance our ability to communicate with the hard of hearing.In Janet's excellent presentation, she also reminded us that the tips that follow likely will appear as common sense, however the challenge seems to be that even the many people that are making an effort to do the right things, do often revert back to their old ways very quickly.Hearing loss can result in loneliness, isolation and withdrawal.
