Attention all British Lit fans!!!!! Collin Firth (Our notable Mr. Darcy from BBC's Pride and Prejudice) is back, and teams up with Rupert Whenever-I-wake-up...befor-I-put-on-my-make-up-Holmes, Reece Witherspoon and that girl from Persuasion in another of what my hubby calls a "Stuffy British Flick" ... AND IT IS GREAT!Firth is so delightfully vulnerable, and Holmes is such a cleverly cast nuisance, that when the two of them break out into song in the middle of the show, the plausibility is so naturaly comedic I found myself vowing to see the movie again just to see what I had missed through the tears of laughter.The female counterparts are equally humorous and refreshingly shallow - in a way that makes the movie play so well!If you havent seen "Earnest" find the video rental soon! I am thrilled to own this gem in my own collection.
