Saving Money Tip: Florida Tax Free Shopping Returns August 3-5, 2012
Saving Money Tip:  Florida Tax Free Shopping Returns August 3-5, 2012
Just in time for school start, Floridians will be able to save a bit of money when shopping for clothing and shoes.  During this tax free shopping "holiday", state sales tax will not be collected on these items as long as they cost $75 or less.
Some basic school supplies are also included in the tax-holiday sale.  These include pencils, pens, notebooks and  paper, markers and other things.  Not included are books.
If you like to plan ahead for your shopping trips next weekend and want to know what items fall under the tax free sales and which ones do not, you can check the full list at the website of the Florida Department of Revenue.
Many stores in Hernando County, Florida, will participate in the tax holidays.  It's not only a great way to get all the school supplies and clothing for the upcoming school year but also to just shop for something new to wear for any occasion.  The Florida tax free shopping holiday will benefit both stores and consumers.
