More Job Opportunities as Siemens Announces New Plant in Mauldin, SC

Great news people! Siemens recently announced a plan to establish a new plant in Greenville County.
Siemens Industry Inc. one of the world leaders in making mechanical equipment for production, transportation, lighting, building, and other technologies said it will manufacture geared motors from a 45,600 sq.ft plant in Mauldin.  
Mauldin was selected for the new site operation as it is close to interstates and ports. The Mauldin plant will bring Siemens closer to machine builders and manufacturers in the south-eastern United States. Aside from the location, there are also highly skilled workforce, green-minded community, and a dedicated group of business partners that made Mauldin a suitable site.
The new plant will be an assembly and manufacturing facility and is expected to bring 30 new jobs to the Upstate.  Currently, workforce development and training are on-going in Greenville Technical College together with the local Siemens officials. Siemens plans to begin hiring this month as it anticipates opening the plant later this year.
