Redesigned Bathroom for Under $750 To Remodel or not to remodel? When the new owners of this 70s era bathroom moved in, they considered remodeling the outdated and cold-looking space. With so many other projects to tackle around the house besides this bathroom, they put that project on hold. However, since it was the main bath that their guests would be using, they decided to do a temporary fix until they got around to a total remodel of the room. The results were so wonderful, they just might put off that remodeling job indefinitely.
Take it off! Take it ALL Off! Obviously that wallpaper had to go, so the new homeowners did what the previous owners should have done before listing the house for sale--they stripped off all the ugly wallpaper. The large soffit fitted with a flourescent light over the sink came down as well. It was big and bulky and it made the room feel very cramped. The flourescent light didn't do much to warm up the room or the occupants' reflection in the mirror, so it was replaced with two pendant lights and two recessed lights. The mirror was also taken down and reused in the exercise room.
