On January 11th the annual Lake Oconee Living Magazine Readers Choice Awards was held at the Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton with all the fanfare of the Oscars in Hollywood. Every year they give awards for many categories of "Readers Choice" for best Restaurant, Best Restaurant Menu, Best Dessert, Best Venue, Best Photographer, Best Jewelry Shop, Best Musician, Best Event, Best organization, Best Development, etc. This year they added a new category of "Best Real Estate Agent!" I was shocked to hear that I was nominated, and in the top 3 finalists with Kim & Lin Logan with Keller Williams Realty Lake Oconee  and Judy Gilbert with Madison Realty. It's an honor to be nominated with such great agents in the same category. The event was wonderful with a limo ride to the front door with the red carpet. We had already rented our own mack-daddy limo with approximately 19 enthusiastic participants. As we entered we had our photos taken, and were taken to the room with silent auction items, then to a large room with a food buffet from the food nominees, plus a full free bar with wine and beer.
