Spring at Stonepine Equestrian Center in Carmel Valley, California
I was so pleased that my friends at the Stonepine Equestrian Center in Carmel Valley invited me to come stay over the weekend. Anytime is beautiful here, but especially in the springtime when the weather is mild during the day and just a little cool at night, cool enough to sit by the fireplace with a glass of wine.

 
And speaking of wine, there are now 22 vineyards that have opened up their wine tasting rooms in Carmel Valley Village just down the road a couple of miles, and they are having a combined event this weekend, I understand. No wonder, the Big Sur Marathon is being held at the mouth of the valley along the ocean at Big Sur this weekend and thousands of people come to Monterey County for this event. www.carmelvalleycalifornia.com/indexwine.html
Here at the Stonepine Equestrian Center, flowers are everywhere including in flower boxes outside the horse stalls. Paige Hill, Equestrian Sales & Marketing Manager, (photo below) has her office here. She invited me to come for a trail ride on Sunday. The equestrian center offers a lot of different activities to guests at Stonepine Estate so I am really looking forward to the ride.
