Fayette County residents know where to go to find the festivities come 4th of July. The annual Independence Day Parade in Peachtree City, with decorated floats and golf carts will be the destination of choice.
Insider Tip #1: Get There Early!
Want to snag a good spot along the parade route? Get there with your blanket, folding chairs or tarp early -- I'm talking before 9 a.m. -- if you want a choice seat. “Kids” old and young -- from Great Grand-Dad to the baby of the family -- will be eagerly lining up, awaiting their chance to ooh and ahh over the floats, wave at friends and neighbors, and catch something sweet at the traditional toss of candy and treats flying through the air for eager hands  to snatch.
