Beaufort SC is the capital of the Sea Islands and Low Country, along the southern coast of South Carolina. After you have sampled the best of Beaufort's, restaurants, shops and art galleries let's take a drive on the "Islands"
From downtown Beaufort let's go over the "downtown" bridge and head east, toward the beaches. The very first island you will come to is Lady's Island, keep going and the next in the island chain is St Helena Island famous for it's rich Gullah culture. From the island's Corners Community, take a right and follow Lands End road past Penn Center, to the end, and you will find the waterfront/beach community of Lands End. Appropriately named, “Lands End” is truly at the “end of the road”, on the western end of St. Helena Island. Beautiful views of Port Royal Sound and with the western exposure the most gorgeous sunsets in the county.
