Best Apps for Realtors: Shoeboxed
Shoeboxed is a great App for Realtors and is available on both the Android and iOS platforms. As a Realtor, we're running ourselves ragged being pulled in multiple directions every day.  And...we tend to be a bit on the disorganized side, right?
Shoeboxed helps us get our financial picture cleared up.  As independent contractors, we need to save receipts for our accountants for tax preparation.  And there are tons of missed opportunities because we fail to keep our receipts.  When you get a receipt for a business expense that you can write off, you simply take a picture of it with your smartphone.  Shoeboxed will ask you to write a memo -- "Dinner with Mr. and Mrs Jones" or "Supplies for First Time Homebuyer Seminar".  They do all the rest.  
Shoeboxed takes the uploaded photo and reads it.  About an hour after you send the photo of the receipt to Shoeboxed, you will receive a confirmation email.  Shoeboxed reads the receipt and determines the date of the transaction, the vendor name, the total spent, and the category.  See below my screenshot from the past few weeks.  You see, the days of chasing down receipts for your accountant are over!!  You ... more
