GPS with Traffic, A Myth?
A year ago I switched from a Garmin to a TOM TOM 300 because it supposedly had a traffic feature using bluetooth and your cell phone.
In theory, you would punch in the address and according to the traffic it would show you the shortest route. I was excited, I bought it.
Then later I find out that it doesn't work on the Treo 650/700. Apparently with Verizon only one random phone works with the service.

Also if you do have traffic GPS, how does it work? Radio? Cell phone? I heard that some track other GPS users and help you avoid traffic that they might be on. Others do it based on some radio frequency that covers traffic.
Also one big plus from the Garmin to the Tom Tom is the Tom Tom has a built in rechargeable battery so it doesn't turn off each time I turn off the car. So no having ... more
