Come out and celebrate with both Stapleton and Aurora residents as we combine communities with 2 street openings connecting the neighborhoods. Radio Disney will have great children fun, Aurora and Denver firefighters and policemen will be barbequeing and have special firetrucks out for the kids. Hot dogs provided by Stapleton Home Team, Hamburgers by Forest City and Green Chili by Rocky Mountain Chili Bowl will feed everyone.
More blogs to follow about what I perceive as the great benefits of beginning to pull these old and new neighborhoods together to benefit both. Traffic redistribution, access for both sides to great amenities, CU Med Center access, real estate values, future shared park and community building to name a few. The Stapleton redevelopment has had a positive effect on surrounding neighbors since the decision to convert it from an airport to a neighborhood. East Park Hill, East Montclair, Commerce City and now with today's street opening, Aurora can begin to benefit and Stapleton can benefit from Aurora's amenities as well.
