Cards for Karen Anne Stone!
Karen Anne Stone, AR member extraordinaire, has been struggling since open heart surgery in mid-August. I spoke to her several times prior to her surgery, but I have not heard from her since the surgery. My heart goes out to her, and I ask that all AR members would keep Karen in your thoughts, and in your prayers--if that is your belief system. Having been through open heart surgery myself a year ago, I know how trying a "normal" recovery can be. Karen's recovery has not been "normal."
I just spoke to the hospital, and Karen Anne is back in ICU. I wanted to send an email, but the hospital does not have an email service for patients. The nurse did say that she is "extremely stable," and her daughter is there. I left my name and email address to be passed on to her daughter. For now, the next best thing is sending her a card via snail mail.
