I Think the Public is Wising Up about Zillow and Trulia

Below, is a great post authored by my Activerain associate, Deb Reynolds.  Puts a spotlight on the misinformation peddled by a number of online and automated "house valuation" websites.  Sellers need to know that there is no substitute for a hand-prepared market analysis, which is a service I provide my customers for free.
I Think the Public is Wising Up about Zillow and Trulia.
I am beginning to believe that even buyers and sellers are seeing the inaccuracy in data being put out by the big boys on the web.
Two times in the last couple of weeks I have had confirmation of this. The first was a buyer calling in to check on a listing she saw on the big boys sites. Of course in checking further I learned the listing sold and closed back in the spring. The buyer said she figured as much because it just sounded too good to be true that a property at that price would be on the market for  so many months in a hot market.
