Petra Norris with CDV Transatlantic, Inc. closed another short sale.  This home is located in Bartow, FL a small town located south of Lakeland, Florida.

The seller contacted me to short sale their home because of a divorce situation.  The home was being services by Nationstar and at that time the sellers were told that the home must go through auction{.}com in order to participate for the short sale program.
I listed the house on July 22, 2013 for $110,000, owner submitted the documents promptly requesting HAFA participation.  We received HAFA participation approval in August and reduced the list price immediately.  In September, the home was placed on the auction site and at the time I received a full price offer however, the offer could not be accepted because buyers was instructed to go through the auction site.  Buyer refused to go through the auction site because an additional 5% buyer's premium would have to be paid by the buyer.
At the close of the auction period, we received an offer which was accepted by the servicer.  However, the amount was too low for the required minimum amount for HAFA, so ... more
