Linwood Plantation is located near the Frierson (Back Gate) of Shaw.  Linwood Plantation was developed on lots that vary from rolling hills to steeper lots.  The development maintained a buffer of trees between the homes and the surrounding roadways.  The first section of was developed on a loop road with the interior lots being steeper than the exterior lots.  The second phase is more open with some larger lots.  Many of the lots overlook the Historical Hills area and have great views.
