How to Properly Show Your Kansas City Home this Winter- 4 Tips
 
As we are entering the winter and cold season, I'll share some winter time tips on making sure you sell your Kansas City home - even in our cold winter weather. Many times homeowners don't think about the experience from a homebuyers point of view. Here are a few tips from my past showings that can help you.
 
1. Even if the house is vacant, keep the heat on. It is also probably not a bad idea to prevent the pipes from freezing, too. There's almost nothing more uncomfortable than trying to imagine living in a house when you are freezing. Plus, you may lose buyers who simply cannot focus on the great features of your home, or don't want to be uncomfortable.
2. Keep sidewalks, walking paths and driveways shoveled. Last Winter, on a snowy day, I had to drag through almost knee deep snow. My client wasn't happy. Then, by the time we got inside, we had to remove boots to let them melt while we looked. That's not comfortable either. This is a safety issue, and risk reduction move.
