Sarasota County Tax Collector  office just mailed out 2013 tax bills. You may want to know how to get a discount of up to 4 percent on your property taxes and save some money.    
 
4% Discount on Sarasota County Property Taxes 
The reason for the discount is to encourage property owners to pay their taxes earlier. The last day to pay and get a 4% discount is November 30, 2013. It happens that the day falls on Saturday and the Florida law extends the discount for property owners until December 2, 2013. 
To ease the busiest day for the tax payments process, drive through service will be available from 8:30am – 5:00pm on December 2, 2013. 
 
Ways to Pay Sarasota County Property Taxes 
Paying in person
If the payment is postmarked by November 30, 2013 (mailing address is Sarasota Tax Collector 101 S Washington Blvd. Sarasota FL 34236)
Pay online at www.SarasotaTaxCollector.com by 11:59pm on November 30, 2013
If payment is placed in a drop box location by 5:00pm on December 2, 2013
