Sarasota Florida Is One Of The Most Exciting Small Cities In America I was truly excited to learn that Sarasota Florida was ranked in the top 10 as one of the most exciting places small cities in America. Sarasota has so much to offer in the way of nightlife and entertainment, cultural attractions, outdoor lifestyles (golfing, swimming, boating, fishing, shooting, baseball, tennis, and more), world class beaches, not to mention, superb weather, which something to do almost every day in the year.
Randy Nelson's blog post at Movoto.com ranked Sarasota Florida as 1st in the "live music" and "nightlife" categories, while only 7th in the "active life" category. While ranking 131st in the "fast food" category (is this a bad thing?), Sarasota ranked 9th in the "non fast food" category (this is a good thing!!!). Yet we only ranked 88th in the "young residents" category, perhaps disappointing to the younger generations. But, the "big deal score" puts ranks Sarasota as 10th overall with a score of 26.25, slightly behind San Marcos Texas, but slightly ahead of San Rafael California.
