Make 2014 your giant killing year

I challenge you to make 2014 your giant killing year. I recently wrote a blog about David and Goliath as it relates to the challenge small brokerages face when dealing with large brokerages. I think many would look at the small brokerages as those at a disadvantage because they don't have the power of a nationwide name behind them, but I see that differently, kind of like David saw Goliath.
In the story of David and Goliath, many see a small ruddy haired boy facing a very large man with the most powerful weapons of his day. I can imagine that the average reader of the story envisions David shaking in his sandals worrying about his outcome.
I don't think that's the way David entered the engagement at all. Actually, I think David went into the engagement wondering why the giant wasn't shaking in his boots. David didn't have the state of the art weapons to combat the giant, but ... more
