6th Annual Brasil Jazz Festa in San Diego on February 16, 2014
The very popular and intimate Brasil Jazz Festa, featuring some of the area’s most talented musicians and vocalists, will take place on February 16th at Dizzy’s in San Diego. The Brasil Jazz Festa was a staple in Encinitas for 4 years but moved last year to the current location.

This year the Brasil Jazz Festa will feature 10 artists in 3 sets (Choro Sotaque, the Danny Green Trio, and the Allison Adams Tucker Group):
Stefanie Schmitz - sax/clarinet
Halysson Silva - percussion
Marcus Alcantarilla - guitar/voice
Joe Amato - 7-string guitar
Danny Green - piano
Julien Cantelm - drums
Justin Grinnel -  bass
Claudia Lyra - percussion
Evona Wascinski - bass,
Allison Adams Tucker - voice.
The Brasil Jazz Festa has always been a wonderful, entertaining concert celebrating Brazilian jazz and more than worth the $20 ticket price (I’ve seen them all!).
Tickets can be ordered online and will be available at the door, room permitting. The venue does not serve food or drinks but there are vendors close by and parking is ample.
