The Stigma Living Near the Railroad tracks
Growing up in Bay Village, Ohio, I lived 4 houses away from the railroad tracks. Because of this I have become accustom to the passing of trains. I even find it soothing. I have found that working with homebuyers they tend to shy away from living near the railroad tracks. I find it difficult to help them understand that like most things in life one becomes accustom to this. That having a train track nearby should not sway them from moving forward with purchasing a home they love. Especially in the cut throat market of Bay Village and Westlake. What I want to know is how other agents handle this. Do you try to remedy the situation or do you just move on. I would hate for my clients to miss out on a wonderful property just because a train passes by a few times a day.
