Have heard from people AFTER they have moved in that they found out that they were missing insulation, AC issues due to the fact that duct work was incorrect, and all could have been aoided had they had an inspection, which we would have recommended..
Would the builder skip a step?  i hope not, BUT , things happen..
Always good to have an extra set of eyes and ears out there on your behalf!

I highly recommend buyers not be afraid of offending their builder when hiring an inspector; any reputable builder will have no problem and often mention it during the initial contract signing. This is a great opportunity to have a third party licensed inspector check for problems, and mistakes before it’s too late.
